Meet Matt
Matt Britt is a lifelong North Carolinian and proud Charlotte resident of six years. He’s a husband of over 20 years and a devoted father to two amazing daughters who inspire his commitment to building a better future for every Charlotte family.
Matt’s public service roots run deep. As Chair of Smart Start of Forsyth County and Co-Chair of NC Pre-K, he helped expand access to early childhood education—advocating for equity and opportunity from the very start of life.
His professional background spans healthcare marketing, hotel operations, and grassroots organizing, always centered on people and problem-solving. Whether in boardrooms or neighborhood meetings, Matt leads with empathy, integrity, and action.
Now running At-Large for Charlotte City Council, Matt brings a servant leader’s mindset: show up, listen deeply, and deliver results. With heart and purpose, he's ready to lead for all of Charlotte.
